In 2011, at the age of just 25, Olivier Rousteing joined Balmain as Head Designer. While drawing inspiration from the wealth of the Maison's archives, Rousteing has imposed a new silhouette and a contemporary look that perfectly reflect the lifestyle of the members of the so-called "Balmain Army", the army of young people belonging to the designer's generation. In 2016 the creative director created the first Balmain men's collection, destined to be shown on the catwalk.
